What the HR licence covers

The Heavy Rigid (HR) class lets you drive rigid trucks with 3 or more axles and a Gross Vehicle Mass over 8 tonnes. That includes large delivery trucks, concrete agitators, tippers, waste collection trucks and route buses. It is the logical next step after MR or an extended Class C.

Requirements to start HR training in NSW

• Held a Class C or LR licence for at least 2 years, or an MR licence for at least 1 year
• Minimum age 20
• Pass a medical assessment if required
• Valid photo identification
