What the HR licence covers

Heavy Rigid covers rigid trucks with 3 or more axles and a Gross Vehicle Mass over 8 tonnes. Concrete agitators, tippers, waste collection trucks, large delivery rigid trucks and route buses. The step between MR and HC.

Eligibility to start

• Held a Class C or LR licence for at least 2 years, or MR for at least 1 year
• Minimum age 20
• Medical assessment if applicable
• Valid photo identification

• Cornering and reversing a 6 x 4 rigid in narrow Prestons industrial streets
